We were approached by Desmond and Dempsey who were looking for a custom rug for their retail outlet in London, the design was to match artwork from a designer set of ladies silk pyjamas. The design was quite detailed so we would normally recommend a hand knotted quality to achieve the detail required. However, we were able to produce the rug in our hand tufted thin pile New Zealand Wool HT5 material enabling us to stay within the clients budget yet still achieve the high level of intricacy.
Our in house designer was able to replicate the design to the required size of 177 x 357cm and our samples team posted out colour poms for the client to select the twelve colours shown in the design. Once the colours were chosen a graph to scale was made and sent over to the client for approval, once approved our production team started work and transformed the graph into a beautiful rug that was delivered in the tight timelines needed for the store opening.
